University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion Level II for a nursing job in Coral Gables, Florida.

The University of Miami, Lennar Foundation Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a CTU/Infusion/Oncology Registered Nurse 2. The incumbent will be a professional Registered Nurse who will administer standard chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, research study and non-chemotherapy medications. He/she will administer care to oncology patients as well as with multiple disease process and research study patients. Monitors therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtains pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol. Assists in maintenance of up-to-date protocol information in clinical areas.

Administers standard chemotherapy, research study agents, biotherapy agents, and non-chemotherapy medications.

Assists in maintenance of up to date protocol information in clinical areas. Documents in a concise accurate and legible manner according to clinical practice standards.

Supports patients and their families during trial treatment. Works to educate patients and their families about their treatment and protocol requirements Utilizes independent learning methods to become knowledgeable about new protocols and protocol changes.

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in nursing required

Certification and Licensing: Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS),Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course Oncology certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in chemotherapy infusion highly preferred
